Iyengar and an ardent follower of the principles and philosophy of Sage Patanjali He is a Chief Research Scientist in the Department of Aerospace \nEngineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and a renowned Yoga expert. He has established a Yoga and Biomechanics \nlab at IISc and has carried out several research investigations covering various dimensions of yoga in biomechanical aspects and therapeutical aspects and has published research papers in reputed journals. He is a\nLecturer at Center for Exact Humanities, IIIT, Hyderabad.\nWith an Electronics Engineering background, Jayachandran started his career as a\nSoftware Engineer with Wipro. He joined Kalakshetra Foundation as a part of Research and Documentation Department, later served as Asst.Professor at Kalakshetra. Jayachandran started Bharatanatyam training under Smt.Meera Narayanan and Sri.Gopinathan.
