From Madhubani to Kalamkari, each art form is unique and reflects the cultural heritage and traditions of its region. Various folk-art forms are on the brink of extinction due to low patronage and support. By learning and promoting these art forms, individuals can contribute to preserving these traditions for the generations beyond.

This course is an attempt to create awareness and provide experiences that aid social, ethical, and aesthetic development. Art education cultivates the whole personality building intuition, reasoning, imagination, and dexterity into unique forms of expression and communication.

This certificate program also focuses on honing art skills of the most incredible pieces of Indian folk art, and helping revive this beautiful art form and pass it on to the next generation. Students refine and apply visual art skills in general with 3 projects focused on Indian Traditional art.

Eligibility Criteria: Beginner level 1 year of experience in Visual arts with a sound foundation of Art
Program Highlights: Folk paintings are intimately connected to the everyday life of the people in the India from various region. Many rituals are incomplete without the nature-inspired motifs painted on various mediums like clay, paper, and cloth. Though there have been some changes over the years in these paintings, things keep coming back to the traditional content and style. At this level students will learn some of the easy folk arts of India

Number of Credits: 3
Eligibility Criteria: Should have completedcertificate level 1 or an equavalent 1 year of experience in Visual arts with a sound foundation of Art
