Vedic Studies
The School of Vedic Studies of Vedic Wellness University was established in 2018. It focuses on Ancient wisdom and vedic scriptures. The ancient Gurukul system of education had a Holistic approach to teaching life skills with Vedas at its epicentre. Vedas were not taught in isolation. Yoga, Sanskrit, Ayurveda and other allied subjects were taught and was an integral part of the vedic education. With a similar vision, School of Vedic Studies offers the following programs. Sanskrit
Sanskrit is an ancient and classical language of India and a source of later languages and literature across the world. The first ever book of the world Rigveda was compiled in Sanskrit. The body of Sanskrit literature encompasses a rich tradition of poetry and drama as well as scientific, technical, philosophical and religious texts. Sanskrit continues to be widely used as a ceremonial language in Hindu religious rituals and Buddhist practice in the form of hymns and chants. Sanskrit is gaining importance across the globe with many universities making ‘Sanskrit Language’ a part of their curriculum.
Vedas
Veda is a Sanskrit word, which means ‘knowledge’. ‘Vedic’ means ‘of the knowledge’, refers to the original knowledge given by God to humankind. It is the repository of knowledge on Spirituality, Mysteries of creation, Astronomy, Mathematics, Aeronautics, Geology, Agriculture, Ecology, Science and Technology. Veda Mantras are preserved intact in oral tradition since thousands of years by adopting a technique called ashta vikruti : eight variants like Jata, mala..etc. These variants of chanting were designed by rishis to protect the original text in pristine form.
Astrology
Vedic Astrology also known as Jyotisha, is the oldest known astrological system in the world. It has been passed down orally in the Sanskrit language for thousands of years and written down much later by our sages. The positions of the stars, planets, moon and sun at the time of birth influence and affect every part of a person’s life. Just as the sun, moon and planets affect and create the tides in the earth’s oceans, they also affect the tides within each individual.
Vaastu
Vaastu is an inherent energy concept of science. Vaastu Shastra is the ancient science of architecture that teaches how to live in harmony with Nature and how to influence Nature so that it works for your benefit. Good Vaastu in the places where you live and work brings good fortune, while bad Vaastu creates unnecessary suffering. By following the principles of Vaastu you can transform the quality of life. Vaastu Shastra is essentially the act of correct settings whereby one can place himself in such a manner so as to absorb the maximum benefits of the Panchbhootas (the five elements) as well as the influence of magnetic field surrounding the Earth.
Vedic Maths
Vedic Mathematics is a collection of Techniques/Sutras to solve mathematical problems in easy and faster way. It consists of 16 Sutras and 13 sub-sutras, which can be used for problems in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, conics. Vedic Mathematics continues to be the center of attention and favorite amongst the researchers across the world.
